For the last two years I’ve been wanting to change my covers for my Mirror In The Forest Trilogy but I kept putting it off to start other projects and running Broken Candle Book Designs keeps me on my toes.
Well, this past month, my work computer fell into a coma and died. *Sigh* I knew it was coming for a long time but I think I lived in denial but I thought I could get it through tax return season. Nope. Didn’t happen. Although, I was able to back up most of my files, there are some that were destroyed when I finally took it off life support. Because of that situation, I’m not accepting new custom orders for Broken Candle Book Designs until the end of February.
While I’m going through my files and playing catch up, I decided it was now or never to refresh my Mirror In The Forest trilogy book covers. These are my very first published books. I’m still proud of them after all these years because the story came about after my mother passed away and I needed a way to channel my grief. I think it’s fitting that February marks the sixth anniversary of her passing and I’m breathing new life into Mirror In The Forest.
Here are the old ones. I still don’t know what I was thinking when I designed these, but I was still new and still learning. They did their job for the time they had.
